Teacher Profile Statement
Here at Heathfield International School we aim to ensure that we have the best teachers possible who are experienced in the English national curriculum and who usually, are British born. We expect teachers to use a variety of teaching methods and strategies, to allow for optimal learning, in and outside the classroom and expect all teachers to incorporate ICT in their lessons. All teachers are thoroughly vetted with a criminal background check and employment background references are required. We expect teachers to help prepare the pupils in an ever changing global world incorporating this into their lessons and planning.
Teachers are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times and there is a code of conduct for teachers to follow, ensuring they are exemplary role models for pupils and the school. We expect teachers to demonstrate the high expectations required as a teacher, inside and outside of the school. Teachers are given the freedom to demonstrate their creativity, allowing for a variety of teaching pedagogy styles and practices. Heathfield International School supports teachers in their vocation and expects teachers to support Heathfield International School, at all times. The relationship between the school and the teacher is an important and special one, which the school acknowledges and hopes it will continue to develop and prosper.
