Inspirational Heathfield Alumni Stories
Natachai Boonprasert (Dunk) has made the most out of his learning throughout 9 years at Heathfield International School. This has shaped his perspective to be an inventor of new digital platforms. He followed his passion in developing a computer application when he got accepted to be a Software Engineering student at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
Growing up in a family of artists, Yanin Ponpayong (Mimi) became inspired with a variety of art pieces. She started learning at Heathfield International School in 2004, where she immersed herself in art classes and developed new techniques and styles. Mimi is specialising in creative performances. She participated in The Voice Kids as a young singer, and also joined in many TISAC events during her years at Heathfield. We were happy to see her passionate personality, shining through at Heathfield’s Got Talent, as a guest judge recently. Her diligent character led her to get successfully enrolled in the faculty of Communication Design, at Chulalongkorn University.
Seytuch Pinyoteerachod (Tiger), 17, grabbed many achievements throughout his lifetime both through involvement in creative industries and learning at our school since he was young. He spent an amount of quality time doing experiments in Chemistry, his favourite subject. Tiger obtained Heathfield’s Best Male Pupil awards for 2 years straight. Finally, Tiger was able to pursue his passion in chemical engineering at SIIT Thammasat University.
Chayada Teravetchakarn (Euy) started studying at Heathfield since she was in Year 4. Throughout her school years, she developed her skills in communication, leadership and management in various events. After every effort that she took to further study in the area that would express her creative and proactive personality, finally she was offered a placement in the faculty of Communication Arts, major in “Communication Management” at Chulalongkorn University.
During 5 years at Heathfield, Pimpatai Makorntat (Lookmai) found herself to be an independent learner. The ‘out of comfort zone’ experiences gained here at the school was not only just in doing different lab activities, but also through canoeing and rock climbing during the Heathfield UK field trip. What she learned here with the school, in the lab and beyond the classroom, built her up to be fearless of her future. Collected new skills and incredible lab experiment researches, she was offered a placement to study Engineering at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University.
Nopparada Minchinda (Thorfun), 20, was head girl of the school whilst in year 11 here at Heathfield International School. She was a leader and proactive learner who found that she could live far from home and learn a specific topic area of her interest – cognitive neuroscience of visual attention and working memory. Before flying off to the UK, she was part of the great Heathfield memories. Her favourite subjects were Biology, Geography, Chemistry and Physics.
Phanatda Waerojruedee (Panda), 26, was one of the pupils who appeared in the spotlight at Heathfield Secondary music band shows. Having previously shown her confidence and enjoyment in visual arts and playing the drums at school, she has now turned her interests to marathon bicycling and devotes her passion and vocation, to serve as a cabin crew member, at Bangkok Airways.
Yanin Bawornkitchaikul (Beam) Hi. My name is Beam. I graduated from Heathfield in the year 2015 and decided to go abroad to the U.K. since I was offered a scholarship. I studied A-levels in St. Michael’s school and finished the course in late June 2017. Since I left high school, I’ve been travelling both in London and Wales to explore the area before coming back to Bangkok. I wish to continue studying in the U.K. (this means for university) and gain work experience there.
There are a few things which remind me of Heathfield. One of which is Christmas time. I’ve been in Britain for almost 5 years now. Every single winter, when December approaches, I always think of Heathfield as the Christmas parties at the school were the most unforgettable memories I have.
