Our Commitment to Safeguarding
At Heathfield International School, we are fully committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every student in our care. Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do and underpins our culture, policies, and daily practice. We follow internationally recognised safeguarding standards and child protection procedures, ensuring that all staff are trained to identify and respond to concerns promptly and appropriately. We work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies to create a secure and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and respected.

Safer Recruitment
Heathfield International School is committed to the principles of safer recruitment to ensure that all staff and volunteers who join our community share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Our recruitment processes follow international best practice and include rigorous background checks, verification of identity and qualifications, reference checks, and criminal record screening for all staff prior to appointment. We expect all members of our school community to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and to play an active role in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for every student.

Code of Conduct
All HISB staff are required to follow our Safeguarding Code of Conduct for Staff.
Training
All staff have regular and mandatory safeguarding training of varying complexity as guided by their level of safeguarding responsibility.
Safeguarding Lead Team
We have a team of designated staff who are responsible for Safeguarding at HISB.
